Earlier this year I created a design for the Cambridge Folk Festival. I chose to do a reduction linocut and to experiment with ‘rainbow rolling’!
The other week I had a great time at The Bookhive in Norwich, where Illustrator Richard Horne (elhorno) has installed his Print Vend machine! The vending machine is full of original prints and is loads of fun to use! If you are in Norwich go and have a go! (Plus there are tonnes of brilliantContinue reading “Printvend at The Bookhive, Norwich”
A bit of catching up to do! Last month I visited the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge where I saw several exhibitions. First up was ‘MOONSTRIPS: Eduardo Paolozzi and the printed collage 1965-72′ which consisted of screenprints, collages and photolithographs by Paolozzi. Next I visited the print room where ‘Modern Heroism: Printmaking and the legacy ofContinue reading “MOONSTRIPS, Napoleon and Michelangelo”
The record sleeve I designed for Secret 7″ was chosen and purchased by the lady above! I would just like to say thank you to her and to Secret 7″. Although I had a very small part in the exhibition, it has meant a lot to me to be selected. This was the first timeContinue reading “Secret 7″ Sale”
Here is the lino block I carved for my Secret 7″ design!
I can finally reveal my Secret 7″ sleeve! It was number 585, a linocut for ‘Born Slippy’ by Underworld.
There are only 5 more days left to view the Secret 7″ exhibition at Somerset House before the sale day on Monday 4th May! On the sale day all the specially designed sleeves will be for sale at £50 each. Among many great artists and designers there are pieces up for grabs by Yoko Ono,Continue reading “Secret 7″ Sale Day”
Last night I went to the private view of Secret 7″ at Somerset House. My record sleeve design, along with many others, is on display there until 3rd May. It was a nice night and great to have the opportunity to see all the other record sleeves. It was fun trying to guess the artistsContinue reading “Secret 7″ Private View”
My Secret 7″ record sleeve design is being included in the exhibition at Somerset House! Yesterday I visited London and came across Sotheran’s of Sackville Street, an antiquarian book and print shop, which had an exhibition of Eric Gill prints on. I was able to see a selection of Gill’s wood engravings, most of them printed on delicate Japanese paper. I was glad to find the shop as, not onlyContinue reading “Eric Gill at Sotheran’s of Sackville Street”
